Checklist for submitting your plugin to WordPress Extension Directory

image You will be knowing that WordPress can host your plugin at the WordPress Extension Directory. You can keep updating your plugin using the Subversion repository. You need to follow the guidelines and coding standards of wordpress plugins

  1. First you need to finish your plugin and check for the following.
  2. Login to WordPress.org. If you do not have an account, just create one.
  3. You can add your plugin information here
  4. Once your plugin is approved, you will get an email in this regard.
  5. image You need to upload your plugin to the Subversion Repository. For this you can use a very simple tool. I used TortoiseSVN. Its very simple to use. You can find a detailed tutorial here.
  6. Make sure that you have created the readme.txt file and validated. You need to check it with the validator here.
